Our History

1969

A small group of dedicated men and women joined together their talents and vision to begin an ecumenical campus ministry center on the UW-Stout Campus.  

1975

The Ministry Incorporated Board was organized to facilitate the joint ownership and maintenance of the Blue House located on the University’s north campus. The board’s membership is drawn from lay members of the constituent churches.

1980

The decade of the 1980s witnessed the formation and the development of The Ministry Associates. This group was formed to advise and assist in planning, implementation, and evaluation of the programming for The Ministry.


1990 

The 1990s continued to invite this community of worship and faith to provide a Christian presence and to weave together a new pattern of ecumenical relationships.

2013

The Ministry sells the Blue House and moves to the current building located near UW-Stout's clocktower. Volunteers help with the renovation of the property and a grand opening celebration is held.


2019

2019 marks 50 Years together in faith. The Ministry continues serve Stout students providing a vital and active Christian presence on campus.
